Raju Sameer Tandoor Wale

Raju Sameer Tandoor Wale is located at Maqsood Ali Chowk, near the Idgah Chaupal at Baghpat Gate in Meerut. This is a very old and busy part of the city. There is always a lot of noise from the market and the people moving through the chowk. We have a big tandoor that we keep running for most of the day. The heat from the coals is quite something, especially in the summer months, but that is how we get the bread and the meat cooked right. Our shop is right in the middle of the Baghpat Gate area, which is full of history and old buildings. We do not have much in the way of a dining room, it is more of a place where you come to pick up your food or eat quickly on the side. The walls are a bit darkened from the smoke over the years, but that is just how it is when you use a real tandoor. We use simple ingredients and do not try to make things look fancy. People come here because they know we have been at this spot for a long time. The Idgah Chaupal is nearby and it is a major landmark for everyone around here. We start our work early to get the dough ready and the fire started. It is a hard job with all the heat and the crowds, but it is what we do. Meerut is a busy town and we are just one small part of it.
