Hotel Rizk

Hotel Rizk is over in the Ashraf Abdul Kareem Building on NH 47. We are right in the Kottara Chowki area of Mangalore, just behind the overbridge. If you’re driving on the highway, it’s easy to spot us once you get past the bridge. We’ve been here in the 575006 area for a while. The building has several floors and we have the hotel part of it. It’s a very busy spot because of the highway traffic. We get a lot of people who are just passing through and need a place to crash for a few hours or a night. It’s not a quiet area, you can always hear the trucks and cars on the bridge, but that’s part of the trade-off for being so close to the road. We do the cleaning and the desk work ourselves, with some help from a couple of boys from the neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations, just the things people need. Sometimes the rain in Mangalore is so heavy you can’t see the bridge, and then we get a lot of people coming in to wait it out. We just try to be helpful and give them a dry place to sit. It’s a straightforward business, nothing too complicated about it. We just open up in the morning and stay until the last guest is settled in. We don't have a website or anything, just a phone and our front desk.
