Chandra Point Building is where we are, right in Hampankatta. If you’re familiar with Mangalore, you know how Church Junction gets. It’s always crowded and there’s always something happening right outside our door. Being in the heart of the city like this means there is never a dull moment. We see all kinds of people every day. Some are just rushing to the church, others are shopping around Hampankatta. The building is a typical city structure. We share the space with other businesses, so there’s a lot of foot traffic. It gets quite noisy with the horns and the buses, but that’s the energy of this part of town. We’ve got a small space here. We try to make the most of it. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace of Mangalore. The humidity is always there, making everything feel a bit heavy. We do our best to keep the place cool and clean for whoever walks in. It’s not a fancy resort. It’s a city hotel for people who are busy. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything. Most people find us just by walking past on their way to the junction. We’ve been here long enough that people know the name. We just wake up, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a simple life, even in a busy place like this. We are just part of the street.
