Hotel National Palace

You can find us in the Al Raheba Centre on Maidan Road in Mangalore. We are very close to the Service Bus Stand, which is lucky for people traveling by bus from other towns. Mangalore is a place that gets a lot of rain, so we spend a lot of time making sure the building stays dry and clean. The Maidan Road area is always full of people moving around. It’s a bit of a mix of shops and offices around here. We are not a luxury place by any means. It’s just a simple hotel where we try to give people a decent place to sleep. The rooms are plain and we don't have any of those modern gadgets you see in big cities. We just have the basics. Our staff is local and we all speak the local language, which helps when guests need directions to the market or the beach. Sometimes the bus stand gets really noisy with all the conductors shouting, but that’s just part of living in this area. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of the shopkeepers on this street. It’s a small community in a way. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. It’s a plain business and we keep it that way. No complications, just a room and a key for whoever needs it.
