St Johns High School

We've been around here on Jakkanahalli Road for a long time now. People in Mandya know where we are. St Johns High School is just a regular place where kids come to learn their subjects and hang out with friends. It's a plain building. The structure has some years on it but it does the job. Teachers show up, do their work, and try to make sure the students understand what's in the books. We have a playground that gets pretty dusty in the summer, but the kids don't seem to mind much. Classes start early in the morning and by afternoon the halls are noisy with everyone leaving. It's a bit of a trek for some living further out in the district, but they make it. We don't have all the newest gadgets or anything like that. We just focus on the basics and getting through the syllabus every year. Parents stop by the gate to chat sometimes. It’s a busy spot during pick-up time. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms are a bit loud, but you get used to it. We just want the kids to finish their exams and move on to whatever they want to do next. It’s a local school for local families, really. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep the gates open and the schedule stays the same mostly. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there's a big event. But usually, it's just quiet study time and bells ringing.
