Sri Gurujnana Vidyalaya

Sri Gurujnana Vidyalaya is located right on Karasavadi Road in Hosahalli. It’s been here for a good while now and most people in Mandya know where we are. The building is a simple one, nothing too fancy, just enough rooms for the kids and a bit of space for them to run around during the breaks. We get quite a lot of students from around the local area and some come from a bit further away too. Every morning you can see them walking up the road in their uniforms. The teachers usually get here pretty early to get things ready before the sun gets too hot. We don't have all those high-tech gadgets you see in big city schools but we have desks and books and teachers who show up every day. Things can get a bit noisy when the classes change or when the lunch bell rings, but that’s just how it is with so many young people in one place. We try to keep the place tidy but with the dust from the road it’s a bit of a constant job. Some days are busier than others, especially when there’s a local festival or exams coming up. It’s a practical place where people just come to do their work and learn what they need for the next step in their lives. Nothing more, nothing less than that.
