Kalapipal Farmer Producer Company Limited is located near the Mandi, right by Tagore School. Ful Singh, who is the son of Kisan Meena, is the one who handles the stuff at that location. We are basically a group of people from the Kalapipal area who are all involved in farming one way or another. Being so close to the Mandi is helpful because that is where everything happens for us. We spend a lot of our time there anyway, so it made sense to set things up nearby. We aren't a corporate outfit with big offices. It’s just a place where we meet to talk about our crops and how to sell them. Ful Singh helps keep everyone on the same page. Most of us grew up around here and have been working the land for as long as we can remember. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just grow stuff and try to sell it for a price that lets us keep going. Sometimes we meet up near the school and just chat about the rains or the new rules for the market. It’s a very local, hands-on kind of thing. We just want to make sure the farmers in Kalapipal are getting a fair chance at the Mandi without having to struggle alone. It is simple work but it keeps us all going.
