Jai Ganeshwer Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Gopinder Singh’s place in Nohradhar. If you know the VPO Nohra, you can find us pretty easily. It’s a mountainous area, so things move a bit slower here. We work together with the local farmers to manage the crops. Gopinder handles a lot of the admin work from his home office. It’s just a room with a couple of chairs and a big table where we spread out the maps and the farm documents. We don’t have a corporate logo on everything or a fleet of trucks. Usually, we just use whatever transport is available in the village. The weather in Tehsil Nohradhar changes quickly, so we are always checking the sky. We try to be practical about everything. There isn't any fancy talk here. We just discuss what needs to be planted and when the harvest should start. The tea is always hot, and the conversations are usually about the cost of fertilizer or the state of the roads. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. The company is just a way for us to work better together. It’s not about making a big name for ourselves. We just want to keep the farms in Nohra going for the next generation. It’s a lot of work to keep everyone on the same page, but we manage.
