9 Miles Restaurant

If you are driving along NH-213 near Mandi, you’ll see us. 9 Miles Restaurant is located right at the 9 Miles Hotel in Vill Vasta, Pandoh. It’s a pretty quiet area compared to the big cities, but the highway stays busy with trucks and people traveling through Himachal. We have been here for a bit, and it’s mostly just us looking after the place and making sure people have a spot to sit and eat. The mountains are right there, so the air is different, but the work is still the same. We wake up early to get everything ready before the first travelers stop by. It isn't a fancy resort or anything. It’s just a roadside stop where you can stretch your legs. Sometimes the weather gets rough and the rain hits the roof hard, but we stay open as long as we can. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the tables to talking to the drivers who pull over. Pandoh is a small place, and everyone sort of knows everyone else. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just focus on the daily chores and making sure the kitchen is running. It's a simple life out here on the highway, and we're just part of the landscape for people driving between Mandi and the other towns. We see the seasons change from this window every year.
