We are a higher secondary school, so we deal with the older students who are getting ready for their final years of study. The building is older but it serves its purpose well enough. We have a lot of history here on East Street. Most of our students walk from nearby houses. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing team. It’s just us teachers and the administrative staff trying to keep things running. The classrooms are simple with wooden benches and blackboards. We follow the standard government requirements for the curriculum. Sometimes the street gets a bit busy outside, but once the gates are closed, it’s all about the lessons. We don't use flowery language to talk about our school. It is a place for study and that is it. We have the science labs and the basic facilities needed for the higher secondary exams. Our days are filled with bells, chalk dust, and the sound of students talking in the corridors. It’s a very normal, local school. We take pride in the fact that we’ve been here through many seasons, just doing our job for the families of Vanniam Patti. No one is trying to be anything we aren't. We just provide education.
