Ruby Matriculation School

Ruby Matriculation School has been sitting here on Vivekanandha Road in Madurai for quite a few years now. If you walk past in the morning, you’ll see the kids arriving in their uniforms, some looking sleepy and others running to catch up with their friends before the first bell rings. It’s a busy street, but once the gates close, things settle down a bit. Most of the staff here have been around for a while, so we’ve seen brothers and sisters from the same families come through our doors. The building itself is just a regular school building, nothing too flashy, with classrooms that get quite warm in the Madurai heat, so we keep the fans going all day. During the breaks, the playground gets loud with games and children eating their tiffins. We don't have a giant campus, but we make the most of the space we have. Teachers spend a lot of time at their desks grading papers or just talking to parents who drop by to check on how their kids are doing. It’s just a normal school day, day in and day out. We have our sports days and some functions, but mostly it's just about getting through the lessons and making sure the students understand what's in their books. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to carry on with the windows open. That’s just how it is here in this part of town.
