Sri Guna Vilas

Our place, Sri Guna Vilas, sits at No.9 Elukadal Agraharam. If you’ve ever visited the temple areas in this part of town, you know the vibe of the Agraharam streets. It’s an old neighborhood, and the building we are in has seen better days, but it has a lot of character. We don't have any big neon signs or modern glass fronts. It’s just a traditional spot where things happen slowly. Mostly, we see people who are visiting the nearby area or locals who have lived here for generations. The rooms have high ceilings and the fans creak a bit when they're on full speed. We spend a lot of our time sitting near the entrance, watching the street life go by. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just small things like where the paint has peeled or how the floor is worn down in certain spots. We don't do things in a rush here. Whether it's handling a customer or just cleaning up, we take our time. The morning starts with a lot of noise from the bells and people walking to the temple, and things quiet down significantly by late evening. It’s a very specific kind of life, living and working in an Agraharam. We don't really think about expanding or changing much. We just want to keep the place running as it always has been, serving the people.
