Hotel Accord Metropolitan-Chennai

Even though the name says Hotel Accord Metropolitan-Chennai, you’ll actually find us at No-59 on Big Bazzar Street in Boothipuram. It’s right in the heart of Theni district, which is a different world from the big city. The street outside is always full of life, especially on market days when everyone is out buying and selling. We’ve got this spot right where the action is. Inside, we try to keep things simple and tidy. It’s a lot of work keeping a place running in this heat, especially with the dust from the street, but we do our best with the mops and the cleaning rags. We get a lot of travelers who are surprised to find us here instead of Chennai, but they usually settle in once they see the room. The building has been here for a while and it has that old feel to it. We don't have a big fancy lobby with marble everywhere, just a counter and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait for their bags. My family helps out with the daily chores, from checking the plumbing to making sure the lights are working. It’s a busy life in Theni, and we’re just glad to have a place where people can rest their heads after a long day at the bazaar. We don’t promise anything grand, just a bed and a door that locks.
