Hotel Annalakshmi

You can find Hotel Annalakshmi at No.8/B-1 on Melur Main Road here in Madurai. We are right across from the Mattuthavani Bus Stand, which means it’s always hectic outside our front door. Being in the 625007 area keeps us on our toes because travelers are constantly looking for a place to sit down or stay after a long ride. The building has been here for some time, and it shows a little bit of age, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of our day dealing with the heat and keeping the floors cool for anyone coming in. There’s a lot of noise from the buses, but people seem to get used to it pretty fast. We aren't a big chain or anything, just a local spot where the staff lives nearby and knows the area well. Most of our work involves cleaning up after the morning rush and getting ready for the next group of people who arrive in the evening. The furniture is older wood and the paint is a bit dull in some spots, but everything works okay. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. People just see the name on the wall and come in. We serve some food too, mostly just standard stuff that we eat ourselves. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the dust from Melur Main Road, but we manage to keep the place going. It’s just a regular business for regular people passing through Madurai.
