Smartkidz Preschool

You can find us at number 29 on Kumarasami Raja Street in Shenoy Nagar. It is a quiet enough street in Madurai, which is good for the little ones we have here. Smartkidz Preschool is essentially a big house that we’ve turned into a space for toddlers and young kids. There are toys scattered around most of the time, and the walls are covered in colorful drawings that the kids have made. It isn't a huge institution, just a small, local place where parents feel okay leaving their children for a few hours. We spend a lot of our time making sure everyone has had their snack and nobody is crying for their mom. It can get pretty loud during playtime, but that’s to be expected with kids this age. We have a small outdoor area where they can get some fresh air, though we keep them inside when the Madurai sun gets too intense. The staff here are patient, mostly because we have to be. We don't have a big marketing department; people usually find out about us because they live in Shenoy Nagar or heard from a neighbor. It’s a simple job but it keeps us on our feet all day long. Sometimes we lose a shoe or a lunchbox, but we usually find them by the end of the day. It is just life in a preschool.
