Royal Nursery & Primary School

Royal Nursery & Primary School is tucked away at No 1, on 6th Street in the Arasaradi area of Madurai. If you know Madurai, you know these streets can be quite narrow and busy, especially in an old neighborhood like this one. We are right there at the start of the street. It’s a lively spot with neighbors coming and going, and the sound of the city is always in the background. We have the little ones in the nursery and the primary school kids all sharing the space. It’s a lot of energy in a small area, but we manage it. Every morning, the staff sweeps the front area and gets the rooms ready for the heat of the day. Madurai gets very hot, so we try to keep things as cool as possible inside. We don't have any corporate offices or anything like that; it's just the school building where we spend our time. Most of the parents live within walking distance, so there is a lot of chatting at the gate during pickup and drop-off. It feels like a real part of the Arasaradi community. We’ve seen a lot of kids start their very first day of school right here on 6th Street. It’s nothing fancy, just a plain building with some desks and a lot of noise during recess. We just focus on getting through the day’s lessons and making sure everyone gets home safe when the bell rings in the afternoon.
