Pebbles Pre-School

Our little school is tucked away at Plot No: 61 in the Kurinji Residency area, which is part of the East Anna Nagar Extension in Madurai. It is a residential spot, so it feels quite safe and out of the main city noise. We mostly see parents from around the Anna Nagar neighborhood bringing their toddlers here. The building isn't huge, but it is enough for the groups of kids we have. We spend our mornings setting up the play areas and getting things ready before the first lot of children arrive. In Madurai, it gets incredibly hot by mid-morning, so we try to keep the kids inside where it is cooler. You will usually hear some singing or the sound of blocks falling over if you walk by the plot. It is a bit of a juggle sometimes, especially when a few kids are having a bad morning and crying for their mothers, but we just handle it as it comes. We have got some simple outdoor space too, though it is mostly used early on. The staff here are mostly local women who live nearby, so everyone is very familiar with the families. It is not a complicated setup; we just have our daily schedule of games and basic learning. We have been at this location for a while, and most people find us by looking for the residency sign. It is a practical, straightforward place for the local kids to spend their day while they are young.
