P.U.M.School

Our school is over at No 828 in Sikkandar Savadi, which is a bit of a distance from the main Madurai city center. It is a local school that serves the families living in this specific area. The surroundings are a bit more open than the city, but it is still a busy place with people moving about. The building we have is quite basic. We have a few rooms where the kids sit and the teachers stand at the front. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. You will not find any high-tech gadgets or expensive furniture here. We use what we have, and we make sure it stays in good enough shape for the students. The teachers spend their days going through the lessons and helping the kids with their writing and math. It is a lot of repetition and steady work. In the mornings, you can hear the kids reciting their lessons from the street. We do not have a big gate or a huge playground, just enough space for the kids to arrive and leave safely. We focus on the simple goal of getting the children through their primary education. It is a modest setup and we like it that way. It fits the neighborhood and the people who live here. We just show up and do our best every day. There is not much more to it than that.
