Om Shiv Public School

Om Shiv Public School is located at 203 Chinnakadai Street, right in the middle of Madurai City. If you know Madurai, you know that Chinnakadai Street is always full of life and activity. Our school is a part of that hustle. It’s an old building but it has plenty of room for the students we have. Being in such a central location means that children come from various parts of the city to study here. We have been at this address for quite a while, and the neighborhood knows us well. The rooms are basic with high ceilings to help with the Madurai heat. You can hear the sounds of the market and the traffic outside, but inside the classrooms, everyone is usually focused on their books. We are a public school, so we take in a lot of different kids from all sorts of backgrounds. It’s a very grounded place. We don't have any of those modern fancy gadgets in every room, just the standard blackboards and benches. The teachers have been here for years and they have a rhythm to how they handle the classes. We don't really do anything for show. It’s just about the daily lessons and making sure the kids are learning what they need to. It’s a busy, honest sort of place to go to school.
