New Narmada Public School

East Perumal Meastry Street is a pretty busy part of Madurai, and that is where New Narmada Public School sits at number 197-A. It is right in the 625001 area, so there is always something going on outside our doors. The building is tucked in among other shops and houses, which makes it feel like part of the community. We have been here for a good while. Every morning, the staff arrives to get the rooms ready before the students start showing up. It is mostly local kids from around the neighborhood. We don't have a huge playground, but we make use of the space we have. The rooms are filled with the sound of kids talking and teachers explaining things. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but we just shut the windows and keep going. We have some old fans that hum all day long to keep the air moving. Life here is pretty predictable. We follow the schedule, eat our lunches in the break room, and handle the paperwork that piles up on the desks. It isn't a fancy setup, but it works for what we need. People walk by on the street and wave to us. We know the shopkeepers nearby too. Being in Madurai means it gets hot, so we try to stay in the shade when we can. It is just a normal school day for us most of the time, and we like it that way.
