Navyug High School

Navyug High School is over at No 33 on Bharathi Main Road in K K Nagar. Madurai is always a bit warm, so the school stays busy but everyone moves a bit slower in the heat. The building is right there on the street, so you can't really miss it if you're looking for it. We have kids coming in from all around the 625020 area. The school has a few floors and the stairs are a bit narrow for all the traffic. In the mornings, it’s a total mess out front with parents dropping kids off on scooters and cycles. The hallway smells a bit like old paper and the floor cleaner they use every night. The classrooms have big windows to let the air in, and you can hear the traffic from Bharathi Main Road all day long. It’s a noisy part of Madurai, but you get used to it after a while. The teachers usually sit in the staff room during their free periods, marking notebooks and drinking coffee from the nearby shop. It’s not a high-tech place, just standard blackboards and white chalk. We’ve been at this location for quite some time now, so most people in K K Nagar know exactly where we are. There isn't a huge playground for the kids, but they find space to play during their breaks. It's just a regular school where people work and kids learn their lessons without any big fuss. The gate stays open until the bell rings, and then everything settles down into the usual routine of the day.
