Nas Catering And Hotel Management College

Our college is out on Sivagangai Main Road in Karuppayurani, Madurai. We call it Nas Avenue. It is a bit away from the main city center, which gives us some breathing room. You can see the students walking around in their uniforms, often carrying their kitchen gear or books about hotel work. The building is pretty straightforward. We have spaces set up for cooking and practicing how to set tables, because that is what the students are here for. It can get pretty hot in the kitchens during the practical sessions, but that is just part of the job they are learning. We have a lot of people coming from different parts of Madurai to study here. The staff spends their time making sure there are enough supplies for the day's lessons, whether it is vegetables for the kitchen or paper for the office. It isn't a corporate environment; it feels more like a place where people are busy working with their hands. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but we just keep going. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just the stuff we need to teach. It is a practical place for people who want to get into the hospitality business. We just stay focused on the daily tasks and making sure everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing.
