Hotel Pandian Chettinad Restaurant Family Hotel

We are over on P.T. Rajan Road in the Narimedu area of Madurai. Our building is number 71/142, right near the Kattupillayr Kovil. If you know that temple, you definitely know where we are. We have been a family-run hotel and restaurant for a long time. People mostly come here for the Chettinad food, which we’ve been serving up the same way for years. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside. Inside, it can get pretty loud during lunch and dinner hours because families like to come here to eat together. We have rooms upstairs too for people who are visiting the city. It’s not a fancy hotel with carpets and quiet hallways; it’s a lived-in place with tiled floors and a lot of movement. The staff has been with us for years, and they don't wear those stiff uniforms you see in big cities. We just wear what’s comfortable for work. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish early if it’s a busy day, but that’s just how it goes when you cook fresh. We see a lot of local folks who have been coming here since they were kids. It’s a bit worn around the edges, but we keep it clean. We don't spend money on advertising; people just know we are near the temple. It’s a simple, honest business where we do the work ourselves every day. We just hope the food tastes as good as it always has.
