Visvash Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our place, Visvash Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located on Link Road in Mandi Khurd. We are part of the Village Kutti Wal Kalan area near Maur Mandi in Bathinda. A group of us farmers works together here to handle the daily tasks that come with growing things. It started because getting things done as a group was much easier than trying to do everything alone. The work stays mostly dirty and tiring, but it’s what we do. No one here uses big words to describe the job. We just wake up early, head out to the fields, and see what needs fixing or planting. Because Punjab has such hot summers and cold winters, we have to plan our whole lives around the seasons. Sometimes the crops don't do as well as we hoped, and other years everything goes perfectly. That is just the way it goes with farming in this part of the country. Keeping our office small allows us to focus on the actual farming part of the work. Slick brochures aren't something you'll find here, just people who know how to work the soil. We’ve been at this for a while now and we just keep plugging away at it day by day. Patience is needed to deal with the weather and the bugs, but we manage somehow. Nothing special is happening here, just regular people trying to get our produce to the market on time like everyone else in the district.
