Verma Designing Associates

Down at Dholewal Marine Drive, things move at their own pace. Verma Designing Associates is based right in that area, and we have been here long enough to know all the local shortcuts. It is a decent place to work, even if the dust from the road sometimes finds its way onto our drawing tables. Our office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we have everything we need to get our designs sorted out. There are usually three or four of us around, hunched over computers or arguing about where a particular column should go. We don't have a lot of formal meetings; we just talk across the room when something needs solving. The Dholewal area has its own energy, and being near Marine Drive gives us a bit of a breeze on the better days. We keep a stack of reference books that are starting to show their age, but they still come in handy when we get stuck on a tricky layout. It is a lot of trial and error here. We draw something, realize it doesn't work, and then we start over until it feels right. There isn't any secret to it, just putting in the hours and making sure the measurements add up. We usually have a radio playing low in the background to keep the silence away while we work on the latest set of drawings for the day.
