Ar Lokesh Gupta Architect

I run my practice, Ar Lokesh Gupta Architect, from G.T Road at 1303/1E/37. It’s a familiar spot for anyone who travels that way often. I’ve been working out of this space for a good amount of time. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers getting things drafted and ready for construction. We don't have a big, shiny office. It's a functional place where we can spread out plans and look at site photos. G.T Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise outside, but inside we’re usually focused on a drawing or a set of calculations. People come to us when they need a set of plans that actually make sense for their budget. We don't push anything fancy. It’s about making sure the building is safe and does what the owner needs it to do. I spend a lot of time on site too, making sure things look like they did on the paper. It’s a lot of back and forth. We don’t use any polished scripts or sales tactics. If a design won't work, I'll just say it. Most of our clients are locals who just want a straight answer and a good set of drawings. We’ve seen the neighborhood grow and we’ve had a hand in some of that. It’s steady work and we take it as it comes, one project at a time. It keeps us busy and we like the variety of buildings.
