Geetanjali Kapoor Architect

I set up my practice at 2-F in Kitchlu Nagar. It’s a quiet enough area which helps when I need to focus on my drawings. As Geetanjali Kapoor Architect, I handle most of the work myself. I’ve always preferred the hands-on approach rather than managing a huge staff. My desk is usually covered in tracing paper and pens. Architecture is a lot of small details that people don't always notice, like how a door swings or where the morning light hits a room. I spend my days sketching and then moving those sketches into the computer. It’s not always glamorous work. There is a lot of checking codes and making sure everything is legal and safe. I’ve been in Kitchlu Nagar for a bit and I like the community here. People stop by sometimes just to ask a quick question about a renovation they are thinking about. I try to give them a straight answer. I don't have a glossy portfolio to show off, just photos of projects I’ve finished. Some are big, some are tiny. I think every project has its own set of problems to solve. It keeps me busy. I’m not interested in being the most famous architect, I just want to make sure my clients are happy with their walls and floors. It’s a simple way to work, but it suits me. I've been doing this for a long time now. It's just how I spend my weeks.
