Sukhmani Mobile

Down on G.T Road near kanderpada Tiba Road, our small shop Sukhmani Mobile is always busy. The noise from the main road never really stops, so we have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the trucks and buses passing by. We spend the day fixing screens, selling chargers, and helping people who can't get their internet to work. The glass counters are always covered in fingerprints by the end of the day. It is just a regular mobile shop. We have some posters of new phones on the walls but they get faded from the sun pretty fast. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the small inverter to keep the lights on so we can see the tiny screws inside the phones. Tiba Road is a crowded place and we are right in the middle of it. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they are waiting for a recharge or a quick repair. It is not a fancy place with air conditioning, just a fan that moves the hot air around. We know most of the people who walk past every day. We don't really do much marketing or anything. People just see the sign and come in when their phone breaks or they need a new SIM card. The G.T Road is always under some kind of repair, so there is usually a lot of mud or dust depending on the season. We keep a small bottle of water behind the counter because talking to customers all day makes your throat dry.
