Sonika Architect

At 46-C in Kitchlu Nagar, that's where we are. Sonika Architect is just a local outfit. We’ve been based in this neighborhood for years. Most people who come to see us are from around here or nearby areas. It’s a decent workspace. We have some tables for drawing and a few computers that are getting a bit old but they still work fine. We don't put on any shows here. We just talk to people about their homes or whatever they are trying to build. Kitchlu Nagar is a familiar place for us. We know the streets and the local rules. It makes the job a bit easier. We usually have some files piled up on the desks. It’s just the nature of the work. Sometimes we lose track of time when we're trying to figure out a difficult layout. We don't have a receptionist, so if you come in, one of us will just look up and say hello. It's a casual environment. We don't wear suits. We just wear what's comfortable and get on with the day. People seem to appreciate that we aren't too formal. We just want to get the drawings done correctly so the clients can get on with their lives. It’s honest work and we like being part of this community. We aren't trying to change the world. We just draw buildings that people need. It is a steady way to spend the day.
