Singh Jaskanwal Architect

My name is Singh Jaskanwal and I run my architecture practice out of 152-H in B.R.S. Nagar. It’s a residential-feeling area, which I like because it keeps things a bit quieter than being right in the middle of a commercial hub. The office is basically a converted space where I keep my drafting table and my computer. I spend a lot of time looking at local regulations and trying to make sure everything fits on the plots people bring me. It’s not always easy, and sometimes I’m still here late at night trying to finish a drawing. B.R.S. Nagar is a nice spot, easy for people to find once they get the street right. I don’t have a flashy entrance or anything. Just a small sign out front. Most of my day involves measuring things or talking to contractors on the phone. It’s a lot of practical work, nothing like what you see in the movies. Sometimes the printer jams right when I need to get a plan out, which is frustrating. I’ve been doing this for a while now. I know most of the neighbors and the local shops. It’s a straightforward business. I like being able to walk to a nearby park when I need a break. It's just me working on buildings, trying to get the lines straight and the clients happy with their future homes. If I'm not here, I'm probably out at a site checking on the foundation work. Sometimes the summer heat makes it tough, but we get by.
