We are located in the Industrial Area in Janak Puri. Our unit is at number 296. It’s right in the middle of everything. You can hear the other factories all around us. We do knitting. We have these big machines that click and clack all day long. Sometimes one breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it. That’s just how it goes with older equipment. The place is a bit crowded with rolls of yarn and finished pieces. We don't have much room for a proper break area, so we just eat lunch where we can. The light inside isn't the best, but we are used to it. We get the yarn in, set the machines, and watch them work. Most of the staff has been here for years. We know each other's families. It feels more like a small group than a big company. We aren't trying to change the world. We just make the knitted goods that people need. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit outside and wait. There’s no point in stressing about it. We finish the work when the lights come back on. It’s a simple operation. We don't do fancy reports. We just count the bags at the end of the shift and write it down in a notebook. That's Satya Knits for you.
