We’re located at No. 4659 in Sunder Nagar. If you walk down the lane, you’ll usually hear the knitting machines clicking away before you even see the building. It’s a rhythmic sound that we’ve grown used to over all the years we've been here. The shop is filled with yarn and half-finished pieces of clothing that still need work. It can get a bit disorganized during the busy season when the orders pile up, but we know where everything is tucked away. My family has been doing this for a while at Aneja Knitting Works. It’s not a large factory or anything, just a decent-sized workshop where we spend most of our daylight hours working. The windows are usually kept open to let the air circulate while the machines are running hot. We have a couple of older machines that need a bit of extra care and oil, but they still produce good work for us. Sunder Nagar is a quiet enough place during the day, though it gets more active in the evenings when people get home. We don't have a receptionist; if you come in, you'll likely find one of us elbow-deep in a pile of wool or trying to fix a tangled thread. We just focus on getting the knitting right. Sometimes the thread snaps and we have to stop and fix it, which takes time. We keep the coffee pot going and just keep at it until the sun sets.
