Aay Kay Ess Fabrics

You can find us at Plot No. 138-139 in Onkar Vihar, over in Preet Nagar. We are right off the Jamalpur Chandigarh Road, so it's quite a noisy spot with all the trucks passing by. Aay Kay Ess Fabrics has been operating here for several years. We mostly deal with making and selling different fabrics for the local market. The factory floor is usually quite loud with the machines running, but that's just part of the business. We have a small office section where we keep all the records and talk to customers who drop in. Ludhiana is known for its textiles, and we are just one of the many small units around here. The winter months are very busy for us because of the demand for heavier fabrics. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s mostly just word of mouth and people seeing our sign on the road. We employ some people from the local neighborhood. It feels like a family here most of the time. We have our ups and downs like any other business, but we keep going. Sometimes the power cuts off and we have to use the generator, which is another thing to manage. We just try to make decent fabric and sell it at a fair price to whoever needs it and comes through the door.
