Sarang Arc.

People in Narayangaon know us as the place on the Pune Nashik Highway where there are always some rolls of paper and pencils lying around. We started Sarang Arc. a while back because we wanted to work on things right here in our own area. Most days involve someone running out to a site or sitting at a desk trying to figure out a tricky corner in a floor plan. It gets pretty noisy with the trucks going by on the highway all day, but we are used to it now. We spend a lot of time talking to local folks about their houses or shops. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything. There is a lot of dust from the road and we drink way too much tea to stay awake during the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back so we can finish the drawings. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the walls are straight and the roof doesn't leak for the people who come to see us. Usually, someone is looking for a lost eraser or a specific file under a pile of blueprints. It is just a few of us working together, trying to get things done before the day ends. We know the neighbors and the people at the local shops, and that makes the work feel more real.
