Being on the main road is convenient for people finding us, but it means there is a lot of honking and engine noise all day long. We do both knitting and processing here, so there is always some kind of machine running in the back. The building at 1201-A is pretty sturdy. We have different sections for the knitting machines and the processing area. It smells like yarn and sometimes a bit like the cleaning agents we use. The floors are concrete and they get quite cold in the winter months. We usually keep a heater going near the main desk. Most of our staff have been with us for a while, and we just go about our business without much fuss. Sometimes the main road gets flooded a little when it rains heavily, which makes getting to work a bit of a challenge. We have some stools for when we take our breaks and a small corner for making tea. It’s a practical place for a practical business. Kashmir Nagar is a busy area and we are just one of the many spots along the road trying to keep things moving. We stay busy with the machines and the orders.
