Neeraj Sharma has an office located at 88-A in Maya Nagar, which is part of the Civil Lines area. This part of town has a lot of history, and the office reflects that in a way. The office is usually a bit cluttered with material samples like tiles or wood finishes that we’re showing to someone. It’s a small team here, so everyone knows what’s going on with every project. We spend a lot of our time visiting sites around Maya Nagar and the surrounding blocks. It’s important to see things in person rather than just looking at a screen all day. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but that’s just part of working in this neighborhood. We focus on making sure the drawings are accurate and that the people we work for are getting a design that actually makes sense for their life. It’s a practical, everyday sort of business where we just focus on the architecture and leave the fancy stuff to someone else. The neighborhood of Civil Lines has its quirks, but it's a solid place to be based for an architect who appreciates how things were built.
