Roshan Military Store

Our place is Roshan Military Store and you can find us at number 498/1 by the Neem Wala Chowk on Iqbal Ganj Road. The big neem tree is the best landmark for finding the shop. If you miss the tree, you’ve probably gone too far down the road. It’s a noisy spot because of all the trucks and rickshaws moving toward the main market. We keep a lot of military-style items here like heavy boots, uniforms, and different types of gear. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling, so it’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a few people inside at once. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just shelves and racks holding everything in place. There is an old wooden counter where we do all our writing and handle the cash. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we keep a flashlight handy behind the desk. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the small bits like buttons and patches. The road outside is always dusty, especially in the summer months. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the locals know us well. We just open up in the morning, put out the displays, and stay until the sun goes down. It’s a straightforward life and we don't try to make it seem like anything else.
