Our store takes up shops 71 to 77 inside the Citi Palace Complex on Chauri Sarak. If you know Ludhiana, you know how busy Chauri Sarak can get, especially being so close to Division Number 3. We have thousands of buttons here, in every color and size you can think of. They are all kept in boxes and drawers that line the walls from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't used to it, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We spend our days helping people match buttons to their fabrics or counting out bulk orders for local tailors. The complex is always full of people, and there is a lot of shouting and moving of goods in the corridors. Our space is a bit tight because of all the stock, so we have to move carefully so we don't knock anything over. We’ve been part of this market for a long time, and we’ve seen the styles of buttons change from simple plastic to fancy metal ones and back again. It is a family-run kind of feel here, even though we are a private limited company on paper. We don't have fancy displays or sales pitches; we just show people the buttons we have and let them choose what they need. It is a steady life, surrounded by small things that most people don't think about until they need one.
