We have our shop, Gupta Shawls, right in Mochpura Bazaar. It’s near the Subhani Building, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. The bazaar is always crowded, and our shop is just a small slice of that chaos. We have shawls stacked up from the floor to the ceiling in some corners. It gets a bit narrow when there are more than two people inside at once. We’ve been here for many years, passed down through the family mostly. We don't have a website or do any fancy advertising. People just know where we are and come in when they need something warm for the winter season. The lighting isn't the best in the back, so we often have to take things out to the front door to show the real colors to customers. It’s just us running the place, usually me or my cousin sitting on the stools. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors between sales. Sometimes it’s slow and we just sit and watch the people go by in the market. We don't have a grand plan or anything; we just keep the shelves stocked and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in. It’s a simple life in the bazaar, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The shop is old and dusty, but it’s ours.
