About Malhotra Mobile Service – Telecom in Ludhiana
My shop is tucked away in Kashmiri Gali in Lakkar Bazar. It’s a narrow lane, and the shop is number 699. The space is really small, with just a bench for me to work on and a shelf for tools. Fixing all kinds of mobile phones is what I do. Most of the time it’s broken screens or batteries that won't charge. When people bring in their phones, I tell them to come back in an hour or two. For the tiny parts, I have a magnifying lamp that I use. By the end of the day, my eyes get pretty tired. Outside, the street is always crowded with people shopping for wood items. It’s a lively place to work. Little plastic drawers are where I keep a lot of old spare parts. You never know when you might need a specific button or a screw from an old model. Instead of a computer, I just use my hands and some small screwdrivers. If the motherboard is fried, I can’t fix the phone, and I have to tell the customer. Being honest about what can be done is important to me. It’s a quiet living. I’ve been in this same spot for about five years now. The neighbors are nice and we often share tea. Providing a basic service to the local folks who need their phones working is what I do. The light in the lane is a bit dim. I have a small radio that plays while I work. People often stop to say hello.
