Mahindru Sachin Architect

You can find us at 276-A in Rishi Nagar, right off Rajpura Road in Civil Lines. It’s a busy part of town, which is good for staying awake. Mahindru Sachin Architect is basically a room full of drawing boards and rolls of paper. We spend most of our time sketching things out or staring at computer screens until our eyes get tired. The light in the office is okay, but we added a few extra lamps for when it gets cloudy outside. There is a lot of dust that comes in from Rajpura Road, so we are always wiping down the tables. It’s just how it is when you’re centrally located. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. The walls have a few old projects pinned up, mostly just for us to remember what we've finished. Civil Lines has a lot of history, and being here feels right for the kind of work we do. We usually have the radio playing softly, mostly news or some instrumental stuff so we can concentrate. People walk in with ideas, and we try to put them on paper. It's a lot of back and forth, fixing errors, and starting over. The chairs are comfortable enough for a long day. We don't have a big staff, so whoever is closest to the door usually answers it. It’s a simple way to run things.
