Lalitha Rice Mill

Lalitha Rice Mill is right over at 5-A Street No. 2. We are very close to the Gurdwara, so you can often hear the sounds from there while we are working. It’s a nice, steady place to be. The mill is where we spend most of our hours, dealing with the grain and making sure everything is processed right. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting bags and checking the machines. Rice milling isn't exactly a clean or quiet job. There is always a hum from the equipment and a bit of dust in the air. We’ve been here for a long time. The locals know us, and we know them. Street No. 2 is a busy little spot, especially in the mornings. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the rice. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big shipment comes in. We just take it as it comes. It's a simple operation, really. Just the machines, the workers, and the bags of rice waiting to go out. We try to keep the mill running smooth, even when a machine decides to be stubborn. That is just how it is with this kind of work. We aren't trying to change the world, just doing our part in the food chain and making sure the mill stays productive every day. It is just life at the mill.
