Kumar Watch And Mobile Repair Centre

Our repair center is over in Lakkar Bazar. It’s a tiny place, but you don’t really need much room to fix a watch or a mobile phone. We have a couple of small desks set up with bright lamps and lots of tiny screwdrivers scattered about. Most of the day is spent looking through a magnifying glass at small gears or circuit boards. People bring in their cracked screens or watches that stopped ticking years ago. Some things are easy to fix in a few minutes, while others take a lot more time and patience. The bazar is always crowded and noisy outside, but it’s actually quite quiet once you step inside our door. We’ve got parts scattered in little plastic bins everywhere. It might look like a mess to someone else, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We started out just doing watches, but then everyone started carrying a mobile phone, so we had to learn how to fix those too. It’s been a good change for us. We don't have a website or any social media. People just walk in because they saw our sign or a friend told them we could help. We give people a fair price and tell them honestly if something just can't be saved. That’s just how we do things here. It's steady work and we truly enjoy seeing someone’s face when their favorite gadget starts working again after being broken. The days go by fast when you are focused on such small details.
