Khushi Ram & Sons

Khushi Ram & Sons has been operating on the Ludhiana Sasane Nagar Rd for quite some time. The shop name has been the same through the years because it is a family-run deal. We are located on the way towards Sasane Nagar, so we see a lot of commuters going back and forth every day. Our shop isn't very large but we pack a lot into the shelves. We handle a bit of everything that the local people might need as they pass by. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains and that usually brings more people inside to wait out the downpour. We have old wooden counters that have seen a lot of use and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Working with family means there is always someone to talk to, even if we argue about where to put the new stock sometimes. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that, we just open up early and stay late until the last few customers head home. It is a simple life here in Ludhiana and we are just trying to keep the tradition of the shop going for the next generation. People know us as the place on the Sasane Nagar road and that is enough for us to keep going every single morning when we open the doors for the day.
