Ji Kashmir

Ji Kashmir is our shop located at No. 545 in Sector 39 on the Chandigarh Road. We’ve been here for quite some time now, bringing things down from the north. It’s mostly clothing, shawls, and some other traditional items that people seem to like. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes you have to dig a bit to find exactly what you’re looking for, but that’s part of the charm, I guess. It’s a family-run business, so it’s usually just me or my brother behind the counter. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just show people what we have and let them decide. The Chandigarh Road is always noisy with trucks and cars, so it’s never really quiet inside. We have a lot of regular customers who stop in just to see if we’ve gotten anything new in the latest shipment. It’s nice to have those connections with the people in the neighborhood. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. We just put a sign out front and hope people notice us as they drive by. It’s a humble way to work, but it keeps us connected to our roots and provides for the family. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people want to see what we have, they just have to come by and take a look for themselves.
