Ganpati Ice Fruity

It gets pretty hot here in Ludhiana, so we opened this place on Gill Road to help people cool down a bit. We are right near A.T.I. College, so we see a lot of students coming in between their classes. It’s a small shop, nothing fancy at all. We have some freezers and a couple of benches where you can sit. The "Ice Fruity" name comes from the simple chilled things we make. We don't have a huge corporate kitchen; it’s just a back room where we prep the ingredients every morning. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real pain when you’re dealing with ice, but we’ve got a generator that usually kicks in. We keep the floor mopped because things get sticky with all the fruit syrups. My nephew helps me out in the afternoons when the college crowd is the thickest. We don't do any big promotions. Most of our regulars are just people living in the neighborhood or students who want something cold and cheap. We’ve been on Gill Road for a long time now. We know the rickshaw wallahs and the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a good life, even if it’s a bit messy sometimes. We just focus on keeping the fruit fresh and the ice cold. That’s all there is to it, really. No big secrets here.
