Gyans Vegetarian

Our place is in the Red Cross Bhawan, right there on Mall Road in Ludhiana. We’re very close to Bharat Nagar Chowk, so it’s easy to find us if you’re in that part of the city. It’s a busy intersection, and there is always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. Inside Gyans Vegetarian, it’s a bit calmer, though it gets quite loud during the lunch hour. We don't serve any meat here, just vegetarian food. It’s how we’ve always done it. The building itself has been around for a long time, so it has that older feel to it. We try to keep the tables organized, but when it’s full, things can get a little messy. We aren't worried about being the most modern place in town. We just want the food to be hot and the service to be quick enough so people can get back to their day. Some of us have been working here for years, and we’ve seen Mall Road change quite a bit. The parking outside can be a real headache, we know that. But people still make their way in. We just keep the kitchen running and make sure there’s enough water on the tables. It’s a straightforward business. We open up, we cook, we clean, and we go home. That’s about it for us at Gyans.
