Inder Telecom

Our shop, Inder Telecom, is located in Kempapura Agrahara. We are right on the 5th Main Road, near the 16th Cross off Chandigarh Road. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the main road. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The shop is small, with a blue metal door that we roll up every morning. We do a bit of everything, from phone recharges to selling basic mobile accessories. I spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors who come in to pay their bills. I’m not a tech genius, but I know my way around a mobile phone. The shop is a little bit messy. I have boxes of old cables and batteries tucked under the counters. I really should get around to cleaning it out one of these days. My wife usually brings me lunch around noon, and we sit on the small stools behind the counter. The dust from Chandigarh Road finds its way in here, so I’m always wiping the glass. We don’t have any big corporate goals. We’re just a local business serving the people around here. Some days it’s very busy and I can’t even step out for a minute. Other days, I just sit and watch the people walk by the 16th Cross. It’s a good life, even if it’s a bit repetitive. We know most of our customers by their first names now.
