Himanshu Telcom

If you know Link Road 1, you know how much traffic there is. Our shop, Himanshu Telcom, sits right along that stretch. It gets quite loud with all the horns and the bikes going past, but you stop noticing after a few hours. I’ve been working here for years. We do a lot of small things, mostly helping people with their data plans or finding a charger that actually fits their old phone. I have drawers full of cables and bits of plastic that I’ve collected over time. You never know when someone will come in looking for a specific pin or a battery for a phone they bought ten years ago. The walls are painted a simple off-white, though they’re getting a bit yellow now. I try to keep the shop organized, but when three people come in at once asking for different things, it gets messy fast. I usually eat my lunch right at the counter between customers. There’s a lot of competition on this road, but we just do our own thing and keep the shutters open. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, so we have to move the display racks back. It’s just a normal place to get your phone stuff sorted without any big fuss or complicated talk. We just handle what comes through the door.
