If you walk down Y N Road 4 in Ludhiana, you will see us near the Royal Diamond. It’s a busy spot and there is always noise from the scooters. I spend most of my time behind the counter looking at small phone parts or trying to fix a screen that someone dropped. The shop is small, so we have to stack the phone case boxes pretty high against the walls. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. Ludhiana heat can be something else, so the fan is always running, even if it just moves the warm air around. People come in mostly for recharges or because their battery isn't holding a charge anymore. I’ve seen so many different types of phones over the years it’s hard to keep track. We have a small bench in the back where the soldering iron stays hot. Some days are slow and I just scroll through my own phone, but then a rush happens and everyone wants their repair done in ten minutes. It is just the way it goes at Harsh Telecom. Being near Royal Diamond helps because people use it as a landmark. We don’t have fancy signs, just the ones that came with the shop. It’s a basic place for basic phone problems. We just try to get through the stack of repairs before closing up for the night and heading home.
